How To - card tutorial using the new Helz Cuppleditch Neighbourhood

This is the first in our series of " How To" tutorials where we will show you how to make the card featured. It will also feature ideas and methods you might find useful.

As promised, here is a card I have made using 1 of the new Helz Cuppleditch Neighbourhood stamps and papers

For this first card I have used the 8 x 8 Neighbourhood paper stack and  Little Bird stamp

How to make:
  • cover front of card blank with your chosen paper from stack
  • Stamp Bird image with Versafine ( I used Sepia  for a softer look) onto Promarker white card
  • Colour image with Promarkers and Flexmarkers
  • Cut out image. (you can use X Cut nesting dies)
  • Edge circle with Stickles glitter glue
  • Punch out leaf shapes and adhere to under side of image. I only attached them to the lower half
  • Adhere image and leaves to card front
  • stamp sentiment and cut out
  • thread ribbon through ends of sentiment and secure behind front of card
All the items I have used are highlighted and are available from Hotshot Crafts. There is free shipping on many items.

To show you the size of these stamps I have a 50p piece next to it
We would love to see what you do with these stamps and papers

I will be back tomorrow with another card tutorial for you using a different Helz Cuppleditch Neighbourhood stamp.

Another quick tutorial for you - Aquamarkers

Hi
hope you all had a great weekend.

We have another short video tutorial for you. This time we are showing you how to use Aquamarkers by Letraset.  They are £14.95 for a set of 12.
These pens can give a subtle watercolour look to your work. But, you must use Watercolour paper, which we have in stock. Although I don't show it on the video I also like to pick up the colour of the Aquamarker with my water brush, then colour my image. You can also scribble onto an acrylic block and pick up the colour with a brush.

I hope you find this video helpful.

Please feel free to leave comments.

Our followers has reached 36!  Another 14 to go and we  will send out some blog candy to someone. Please could you advertise our blog on your blog

Thanks

Promarker and Flexmarker video tutorial

Hi
Thank you to those of you who have already become followers. Just 34 to go before we pick a candy winner!

We look forward to bringing you some great products and ideas too.

Many of you have bought the new Flexmarkers by Letraset. We have sets 1, 2, 3 and 4 in stock. (£11.99 per set with free shipping. U.K. only). When the new colours come in we will let you know. these colours will work beautifully with your existing Promarkers

These pens are the same as the Promarkers, alcohol based, the only difference being the new brush tip at one end instead of the bullet tip. They both still have the chisel end for larger areas. The brush tip has fine point which allows you to get into smaller areas. It is so smooth to work with.

The beauty of Alcohol based pens is that you can blend and shade with them. They leave NO streak marks. You will be able to achieve a professional look with ease.

So to help you along we have a short video tutorial. We hope it helps!
